CONTRACTS & AGREEMENTS
Standard frameworks for every Developia engagement.
Every Developia engagement is backed by clear, written agreements. Below are the standard frameworks we use to protect both clients and developers. All contracts are customized to the specific engagement and reviewed before work begins.
Confidentiality
Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
Mutual confidentiality agreement executed before any project details are shared. Covers proprietary information, source code, business plans, and customer data. Standard duration is 2 years from the end of the engagement.
Master Terms
Master Service Agreement (MSA)
Overarching agreement governing the relationship between the client and Developia. Covers liability, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and termination terms. Signed once and applies to all subsequent engagements.
Project Scope
Statement of Work (SOW)
Project-specific document defining scope, deliverables, timeline, milestones, and payment schedule. Created during the Scope & Agreement phase (Step 4 of our process). Signed by both parties before development begins.
Billing
Payment Terms
Clear payment schedules aligned with milestones or billing cycles. Hourly engagements are billed weekly. Project-based work is paid by milestone. Retainers are billed monthly. Late payment terms and dispute procedures are defined upfront.
Intellectual Property
By default, all code, designs, and deliverables produced during a client engagement transfer to the client upon full payment. Developers retain the right to showcase completed work in their portfolio unless explicitly restricted. Open-source contributions and pre-existing IP are excluded from transfer and documented in the SOW.
Developer Agreement
Developers who join the Developia network agree to our code of conduct, quality standards, and communication expectations. This includes maintaining accurate profile information, meeting agreed deadlines, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to the platform's professional standards.
